This is a reminder that students who plan to graduate in May 2016 must submit a Degree Application by Tuesday, February 16, 2016 to the Office of the Registrar by mail, email, or fax. You may also obtain a Degree Application in the Office of the Registrar, ADM 340 or on the Office of the Registrar Team Site: https://portal.emmanuel.edu/StudentResources/officeoftheregistrar/default.aspx In early-mid April, May graduates can expect to receive an email from Dr. William Leonard (Vice President of Academic Affairs and Dean) with a link to The Outcomes Survey.  Please tell us what you will be doing after graduation using The Outcomes Survey, whether it is employment, graduate school, an internship, service program or military service. By participating in this short survey, you will be entered into a drawing to win great prizes (including iPads and gift cards) and your responses will provide Emmanuel College with critical information that will help current and future students. May graduates who are planning on attending the commencement ceremony should complete The Outcomes Survey prior to picking up their graduation tickets. The Nola Della-Monica Nursing Scholarship Fund

Posted by on Feb 2, 2016 in Nursing, Uncategorized | 0 comments

Dr. Nola Raye Della-Monica lost her battle with cancer in November 2014.  Her work continues as every student at Emmanuel College is introduced to critical patient safety issues through the leadership curriculum that she created.  Her impact continues as every nurse who heard her theory of caring is reminded of the importance of listening.  Her touch is felt by all who perceived her kindness, learned from her brilliance, and grew from her encouragement. As she lay on a stretcher being wheeled into surgery, Nola encouraged the nurse caring for her to continue on with her education.  Clearly the most fitting tribute to this scholar, theorist, and educator is a permanent scholarship in Nola’s name for nurses at Emmanuel College. This scholarship will continue the work Nola believed in so strongly, bringing more nurses to advance their education through the curriculum that she shaped. Please join us to ensure that Nola’s work and legacy will continue to be celebrated with each student endowed with this extraordinary gift!  To do this, we need the help of alumni, friends, colleagues, and family. We must raise $25,000.00 to create an endowed scholarship fund that will continue for many years.  Every contribution will help, big and small. Please consider honoring Nola with your kind, compassionate, tax–deductible contribution to the Nola Della-Monica Nursing Scholarship Fund at Emmanuel College. By Phone: call the Emmanuel College Office of Development and Alumni Relations at 617 735-9771. Make your gift by phone by MasterCard, VISA, American Express or Discover Card. Please specify the Nola Della-Monica Endowed Nursing Scholarship Fund. OR By Webpage: https://alumni.emmanuel.edu/make-a-gift  *The Make a Gift  link is at the very bottom right of the Emmanuel College home page. *Enter the gift amount with the Designation of Financial Aide& General Scholarship. *Specify in the Comments section:  Nola Della-Monica Endowed Nursing Scholarship Fund. *Specify in memory of  Nola Della-Monica  (additional address is optional). By Mail : You may also send a check to: Emmanuel College Development Office 400 the Fenway Boston, MA 02115 with  “Nola Della-Monica Nursing” in the memo line. Thank you so much for your loyal, compassionate, and generous support of this permanent tribute to Nola! On behalf of the Scholarship Committee, we thank you!
