New! – Library Learning Commons

Across the Spring and Summer of 2017, the Library has undergone major renovations to bring Emmanuel College the brand new Library Learning Commons. The goal was to simplify access to services that support learning, provide optimal study and collaboration space and to increase academic-oriented programming that complements classroom learning.

Be sure to stop by the Library to check out its renovations! For more information about how these changes affect you, check out the Library Learning Commons project site.

In addition, the Academic Resource Center (ARC) will be getting face-life in the bottom floor of the Library Learning Commons. As a reminder, the ARC is committed to helping students enhance their academic performance in their quest for academic success. The ARC provides one-on-one academic coaching and study skills assistance to students experiencing challenges in their approach to their course work.  Academic coaching topics may include time management and college reading, study, and test-taking strategies.  Contact Wendy LaBron at labronw@emmanuel.edu or 617-735-9778 for more information.

 Reminder! – Campus Ministry Support

GPP students are most welcome to take part in any of Campus Ministry’s programs, and are encouraged to attend masses and services all throughout the year. Some programs that may be of interest to students—and which may best fit their schedules—are one-on-one spiritual direction with a campus minister, or taking part in the Making S.P.A.C.E. retreat in the Spring. To learn more about what programs are available, please email campusministry@emmanuel.edu and they’ll be happy to connect you to the right program for you.

New! – Student Perks

Did you know? As a student at Emmanuel College, GPP students are welcome to take advantage of Emmanuel College’s memberships to area museums. Both the Museum of Fine Arts and the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum offer free membership to all students, faculty and staff from Emmanuel College (exclusive of special exhibits and films). In order to take advantage of this wonderful perk, you must present your Emmanuel College ID. If you do not have an ID, you can visit Campus Safety on the 1st floor of the Administration Building. Simply present your driver’s license or a form of identification and receive your ID for free!

In addition to the above title changes, updates have been incorporated throughout the content of each class to reflect current trends in the industry. If you have any questions regarding the curriculum update, please contact Kate Schoeck at schoeckk@emmanuel.edu.

New! – Construction Update

As you have likely seen, we are continuing our construction project for the new 18-story, 690 bed residence hall. Expected to be completed in Fall 2018, the new residence hall will feature one- and two-bedroom apartments, an exercise room, dance studio, top floor lounge among other amenities. The GPP staff were lucky enough to get a sneak peak of the construction progress. Just look at those views!
