Calling all students and faculty! We have two new and VERY exciting lectures open to all Emmanuel College students, faculty and staff:

Hakim Lecture Series – Speaker: Dr. Mario Luis Small, Ph.D.
Wednesday, October 5th, 4:30pm
Library Lecture Hall

Dr. Mario Luis Small, Ph.D., is a Grafstein Family Professor at Harvard University. He will present on Heterogeneity in U.S. Neighborhood Poverty, as part of the Catherine McLaughlin Hakim ’70 Lecture Series. Dr. Small has published books and numerous articles on urban poverty, personal networks, and the relationship between qualitative and quantitative social science methods.

Dr. Ahmad Tarakji, President of the Syrian American Medical Society (SAMS) will speak on the mission of SAMS, an organization committed to save Syrian lives by providing medical care to people in Syria and refugees outside of the country.
