We have got some GREAT academic events coming up for EC and GPP students. Don’t forget the Fall 2015 Catherine McLaughling Hakim Lecture series, with guest Callie Crossley, on Wednesday, October 28th at 4:30pm. Check out our Facebook page or the Emmanuel College events calendar for more information!

Our next awesome event is brought to you by the Theology & Religious Studies and Biology departments at Emmanuel College. Dr. Kenneth R. Miller of Brown University will discuss the relationship between science and religion. Can science and religion truly co-exist or are they forever locked in conflict? Dr. Miller will address this issue by focusing on the contentious issue of biological evolution.

  • Is it time to abandon Darwin?
  • Is the evidence for evolution as solid as scientists claim?
  • Does the human genome show that we are unique creations, or the products of evolution?
  • Can science today be understood in a religious context, or have we finally reached the end of faith?

All are welcome to attend!
